Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Euro-Peds takes the personal health and safety of our patients, caregivers, and employees very seriously. We are committed to keeping you informed of our practices as we closely monitor the Michigan Dept of Health & Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization.

The following are updated protocols and policies to keep everyone as safe as possible while continuing Euro-Peds therapy. Thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation.

  1. If you or someone in close contact to you is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or has tested positive, please notify the clinic immediately to cancel your appointment. We appreciate as much notice as possible, but if it is the same day as your appointment, we are waiving our same-day cancellation fees at this time. Employees are asked to do the same and will be sent home immediately if symptoms begin while they are at work.
  2. We are asking anyone who has traveled internationally to refrain from coming to Euro-Peds until 14 days after return. Contact us immediately if this applies to you and affects an upcoming treatment session.
  3. Patients and their families are asked to call the clinic at 248-857-6776 #1 upon arrival and wait in their vehicles until a staff member comes to them to administer the daily screening and temperature checks for anyone entering the clinic (screening and temperature checks are done for employees as well).
  4. Masks are required for anyone entering the clinic with the exception of patients who are unable to tolerate keeping the mask on or if a person has a medical reason why they cannot tolerate wearing a mask. Please bring your own mask to wear (cloth or otherwise) and let us know ahead of time if you are having difficulty obtaining a mask.
  5. At this time, only one adult is allowed to accompany a patient into the clinic. Siblings or other children and family members are unable to enter at this time. The adult bringing a patient for therapy is encouraged to remain in their vehicle or return to their hotel if applicable. This adult is able to remain in the child’s private treatment room if necessary, but must have a mask on at all times.
  6. Our lobby is essentially closed to prevent any unnecessary gathering and reduce any potential spread of germs. Our coffee area is also closed at this time. No eating is allowed in the clinic unless it’s necessary for a patient to have something during their treatment session.
  7. We are extremely grateful to have private treatment rooms at Euro-Peds. We are asking therapists to remain in their dedicated room and only utilize common areas, such as the hallway or gym, when necessary (taking turns to avoid multiple patients in the same area).
  8. Euro-Peds prides ourselves on our routine cleaning and disinfecting procedures, and we have stepped up our frequency and quality of disinfecting. Each room and all equipment/toys are thoroughly disinfected between each patient. Door knobs and touch surfaces at the entrance, lobby and restrooms are disinfected a minimum of every hour.
  9. Additional hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and kleenex are available throughout the clinic.

Please message us with any questions or concerns at info@euro-peds.org or call 248-857-6776.
