Cerebral Palsy Symptom - Euro-Pēds
Cerebral palsy first shows up in children age three and younger. Its symptoms include difficulty with fine motor tasks (such as writing or using scissors), difficulty maintaining balance or walking, and involuntary movements. The symptoms of cerebral palsy differ from person to person and may change over time.
Euro-Pēds is currently involved in research for the treatment of children with cerebral palsy. We just completed our study on the use of SUIT Therapy combined with intensive physical therapy in children with cerebral palsy. Each subject made improvements in function from initial evaluation to discharge (range of 3.1 to 13.3% increase in function) with the largest improvements taking place during lying and rolling activities.
