Kingsley"...I don’t know of another program like Euro-Peds in the country, though there may be others. Still, as far as I’m concerned, it’s the best. Really and truly, our time there in December has been the best thing I’ve ever been able to do with my son as far as therapeutic intervention, and I would move from Oklahoma to Michigan if I could! It’s that wonderful, and the entire staff is incredibly kind and supportive..."
~ Carole Burrage, Oaklahoma, February 2008

Kingsley"We traveled all the way from Jamaica in the Caribbean with Kingsley last Summer. Kingsley is 5+ with Athetosis plus a spatic quad CP. Euro-Peds is a place you are lucky to have discovered…You have to believe me when I say you won’t regret the choice."
~ Dr. & Mrs Eleweanya, Jamaica

Abby Price I would like to thank you and your staff for the hospitality and professionalism we experienced during our recent trip to Euro-Peds with my daughter Abby. It is a rare thing to find people so willing to go above and beyond the call of duty and everyone there did just that…The best way to describe our experience with Carolyn and Euro-Peds is that when we came home, there was a hole in our lives that is slow to fill…”
~ David Price, Arizona, October 2007

Benoit"The physiotherapist over here can't get over the range of motion he has now (i.e. going up stairs like we do instead of taking them one at a time) and how well he is doing with his crutches. He plays baseball in the summer and the volunteers can't believe how fast he is. That is all thanks to the hard work he does with the staff at Euro-Peds. Physiotherapy back home is only about maintaining what he has, however, at Europeds, you actually work at improving, at getting him to be the best that he can be..."
~ Nathalie Brault, mother of Benoit, Ontario, Canada, July 2007

Craig“…When he got to Euro-Peds, [my son] was crawling commando style moreso than anything else, or knee walking…We left two weeks later with Craig actually using his feet for more than dead weight…”
~ ReBecca Bennett, Virginia, April 2007

“…This [Euro-Pēds] clinic has been our greatest gift!! My son, Matthew, is now 12. We’ve been coming to Euro-Pēds since he was 7. We will be visiting for the 7th time this March…We stay for a 2-week treatment each time. I wish you could understand how valuable this treatment has been for Matthew. There’s no way to put it into words…just how Euro-Pēds has changed Matthew’s life…When Matthew was born, his 2-pound, premature body was not supposed to make it another hour. Miraculously, he did live to see the next day, and then another…We were told he’d never walk or talk because of the severe brain damage sustained during a hemorrhage on his second day of life. We’ve since visited those doctors with a show- and- tell session. They were astonished!! And we gave complete credit to the NOMC Euro-Pēds Clinic for Matthew’s ability to transfer, stand and walk!…”
~ Jill McQuaid, Ohio, January 2007

“We are writing you to thank you and your staff at Euro-Pēds for the incredible difference that you have made in our son’s life. Brian has improved so drastically under your care it is hard to know where to start. Brian had been in therapy since coming to live with us at the age of 10 months. He has been in several programs. None have produced the results that Euro-Pēds has. We wish you could watch him at home. He walks the stairs without assistance, he walks from room to room using his canes (he graduated to those while in your program), but most importantly, for the first time he can toilet himself. He can stand up straight. The list goes on. What a new lease on life!…”
~ Bill & Catherine Aylesworth, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, December 2006

"…I can't thank you enough for everything that you've done for Blake. Your program was OUTSTANDING!!! We watch our video and learn something every time we see it…"
˜Jodi Rokosz, Freeland, Michigan, May 2006

"…Oh, thank you, thank you for helping Isis to achieve these great steps towards a future that is now wide open. We look forward to seeing you all in October!"
˜Amanda Runyon Lynch, Columbus, Ohio, July 2006

Once again, I would like to thank the entire team at Euro-Pēds for the excellent treatment and service that was provided for my son, Kevin. Through your specialized program, Kevin was able to make a tremendous amount of progress in a relatively short period of time. My husband and I are still amazed when we see Kevin walking around the house without his walker, or when we see him squat down to pick up a toy without falling or having to hold on to something
for stability.

I think back to the time prior to Kevin beginning your program. My husband and I deliberated back and forth with our decision whether to enroll Kevin in Euro-Pēds now, or wait until he was older. As you may recall, Kevin had been receiving physical therapy treatment since he was one-year-old. His treatment up until this point had consisted of two 45 minute sessions per week with his therapist, along with the home program that my husband and I worked on with Kevin. Kevin's Euro-Pēds therapy program would be three, 2-hour sessions per week, and would involve him using the suit. Again, my husband and I were very interested in having Kevin participate. We had done a lot of research, and we read and heard phenomenal things about Euro-Pēds. The question we faced was, could our 2-year-old tolerate the intensity and the rigor of this program.

After consulting with several respected and trusted professionals, we decided to move forward with enrolling Kevin. All I can say is thank God we did! Kevin absolutely thrived under the care he received. He loves his physical therapist and is very fond of the entire staff. In fact, just the other day, he asked me where several of your staff members were. I told him that they were at Euro-Pēds. He said, "Mommy, I want to go to Euro-Pēds and play with them!" I think this enthusiastic statement speaks volumes about the quality and character of your team. Not only is everyone technically very good and quite capable at what they do, but they truly care about the children who come through your doors.

Kevin will definitely be back for ongoing treatment. Until then, my husband and I will continue to work with him using the very detailed, comprehensive at home program that was created for us to use with Kevin. I would absolutely, without a doubt, recommend Euro-Pēds to any parent or caregiver with a child who has Cerebral Palsy or any other gross motor challenges. Actually, I have already made numerous referrals. I have taken it upon myself to be a spokesperson for your program. I want others to be able to benefit from your treatment and expertise the way Kevin has, and will continue to in the future. Every parent wants the very best for their child/children.

Thank you for providing the very best!
Most sincerely, Helen T. Bur, mother of Kevin, age three, of Farmington Hills, MI

In January, Ofelia Luna of Palmdale, California, brought her 5-year-old daughter, Destiny, to Euro-Pēds for her first evaluation and 2-week session. Destiny's PTA was Program Coordinator, Slawek Walenski. We asked her first impressions of her time spent at Euro-Pēds:

" ...It's amazing in just this one week that he's worked with her she has actually gotten the confidence to get off the couch and stand, or off the bed and stand. She's never done that before...And now she asks me, "I want to walk," and she's never asked me that before. When she wants milk, she wants to walk over to the 'fridge and gets milk. Isn't that cute? I just think this is a fabulous system, just the way you work with kids and the motivation, and they work hard and they don't give up. It's constant movement. It's really great...We did [try other therapies] but I don't think they're as effective. As far as the SUIT Therapy, ...I've never seen Destiny actually take a couple steps on her own using the Kaye-walker. There are therapies where I live, but not as intense and they don't believe that kids should be worked that long, for 4-hour or 2-hour periods, which I think is great... She started going to therapy since she was 15-months-old until she was three, and I think this week-and-a-half that we've been doing therapy (at Euro-Pēds) totally benefited her more than those 2 1/2 years."

Ofelia Luna, Palmdale, California

Nate Dougall, Jackson, Wyoming: "It's just been tremendous. The greatest thing that we get out of [Euro-Pēds] is that Rory makes progress every time he comes to Euro-Pēds, whether it's for a week or two weeks. They get him to do things that we didn't think possible. He took his first independent steps here, which was great. In 2002, when he first put the SUIT on, he went from a walker to just using crutches and he's never really gone back to the walker. And every time we set goals and he surpasses those goals. ...He gets excited about coming here. They definitely push him harder than he's ever been pushed and he really works harder. ...He's made tremendous progress. It's a great program, and it's certainly worth coming out from Wyoming."

Nate Dougall,
father of Euro-Pēds patient, Rory Dougall

George Kosko, Granville, Ohio: "Natalie was diagnosed with spastic quadriplegia. Through her P.T., a dorsal rhizotomy, and several trips to Euro-Pēds and other alternative therapies, they've revised her diagnosis to spastic diaplegia because she's improved so much. Euro-Pēds has a lot to do with it. One of the beauties of this program is that they match the personalities of the patient with the therapists so they get along and they get the most out of Natalie when she's here. She has progressed each time she has been here because of the nice, long, uninterrupted work that you can't get at home...We look forward to our trips to Euro-Pēds because of the big blocks of treatment. Also, they educate us. We can take those ideas and programs and photos [from the home therapy program] home."

George Kosko,
father of Euro-Pēds patient, Natalie Kosko

"Euro-Pēds' staff is super with children. The whole program is just excellent. I continue to recommend the program all the time!"
Joni Nattiel , Mother of Danielle, age 8, of Archer, Florida

Our experience at Euro-Pēds was great. After a four-week session, Diana is now able to crawl, sit up unsupported (Indian-style), she is walking in a K-walker and no longer uses her gait trainer. Interestingly enough, seemingly unrelated skills have also shown dramatic improvement after our month at the clinic. Diana's speech has also improved tremendously. She is putting 2 and 3 words together independently. The staff at Euro-Pēds was extremely helpful, friendly, and supportive. I highly recommend Euro-Pēds to any parent who wants to provide their special needs child with every opportunity in life of success. Further, as a parent, Euro-Pēds gave us something that our child's neurologists, pediatricians, therapists, and orthopedists have been unable to provide: peace of mind.

The folks at Euro-Pēds specialize in children with the kinds of needs and issues our child has. They were able to help us see that, although we have a long road to travel, our child can eventually be independent and have a good quality of life. As a parent, that's a truly priceless piece of information.
Jan and Jim Boyle, Parents to Diana, age 5, of Covinton, Lousiana

From the very first day I took Wyatt to Euro-Pēds, I have been impressed with the whole program. The entire staff is friendly and encouraging to all of the kids, not just the ones they work with. We have noticed the most improvement when Wyatt goes to Euro-Pēds verses other physical therapy facilities. The take-home programs you get at the end of the session make it so easy to continue the program at home. We are so glad that Euro-Pēds is only an hour drive for us, but it is definitely worth whatever time it takes to get there.
Teresa Liming, Mother to Wyatt, age 3, of Davison, MI

"Brittany has made accomplishments at Euro-Pēds that has not happened at any other place we have tried. Brittany took her first 2 independent steps with her therapist Kim. Kim was as happy & excited as we were, as was everyone else there. Everyone at Euro-Pēds treats you like a friend, but most importantly, they give Brittany the utmost respect that she deserves. Euro-Pēds was fun for all. "

Thank you,
The Klenotich Family, Brittany, age 4, of Palm Bay, Florida

"We feel so lucky to have found a therapy that actually encourages and pushes our child. They want to see him succeed, just as much as we do!"
Stacy Voorhees, Mother to Andrew, age 3, from Rochester, Michigan

"I never had visions of Drake walking by himself before we came to Euro-Pēds. When we came on July 22nd, Drake was and still is using his walker, but while we were here, Courtney and the fine staff at Euro-Pēds got Drake walking with forearm crutches. On the last day we were here, Drake walked all by himself with the forearm crutches. Now I have hope and honestly think Drake will walk unassisted in the near future."
Gary Bandemer, Father to Drake, age 9, of Toronto, South Dakota

"This was our third trip to Euro-Pēds and it was the best trip yet. We had only stayed for two weeks each the first two times and decided to stay for four this time. What a difference the third and fourth weeks made! Robbie reached and surpassed all our goals and gained so much strength. Robbie was so proud of himself and eager to show everyone his newfound abilities.

He is excited about therapy and has a great attitude about working as hard at home as he did at Euro-Pēds. Kim was an amazing therapist and taught us so much. We received a wonderful home exercise program and will make sure he is even stronger on his next trip!"
Cindy Egan, Mother to Robbie, age 8, of Wichita, Kansas

"When my son couldn't stand on solid ground, Euro-Pēds provided a path, & now he's walking down it!" "Euro-Pēds believed in my son and his success, & now I believe in them!"
Jamie Reynolds, Mother to Aaron, age 5, of Fenton, MI

"This is our 4th trip to Euro-Pēds since 1st coming 1 year ago. She has made so much progress in the past year. A year ago, she was not walking independently with her walker and now she tries running with it. In just the past couple of weeks of being here, Kim has her sitting indian style instead of "W" sitting and crawling up on all fours with weights on her ankles. Kim also taught her how to walk with 3 point canes with minimal assistance.

The most important part of Euro-Pēds is that the therapists don't give up. They keep trying different ideas until they find something that works for that child. We also love it because we get the same therapist each time we come and she has really gotten to know how Kaylee ticks and they work well together. We also have 2 therapists working with her at times so other therapists get to know Kaylee as well."
David and Becky Maguire, Parents of Kaylee, age 6, of Round Rock, Texas

"Tomorrow is our son's last day of our first two-week treatment session. My husband and I are sad to go, but we want you all to know how impressed we are with your clinic and staff. All of our expectations were met and exceeded. Nothing was lacking - from our son's personal therapists to the professional and friendly way the clinic operated.

We didn't know what to expect and wondered if we were a little crazy to drive 850 miles from North Carolina and spend thousands of dollars for physical therapy clinic that our insurance was not going to cover. Even our son's teachers and therapists were all a little concerned that we were doing something experimental and wasting time and money. After assuring them the clinic was part of a well respected hospital and associated with a neurodevelopmental pediatrician, their fears were put to rest, but they still cautioned us not to expect too much. After all, Joshua is diagnosed with athetoid cerebral palsy and children with this diagnosis do not make the same gains as children with other types of cerebral palsy. I am happy to say that Joshua made huge gains in strength and balance during his two weeks of treatment and I have already scheduled his next visit to the clinic in October.

Joshua's physical therapist, Tracy, was always professional and focused. She spent the entire four hour session each morning working with my son and I am impressed with her willingness to throw herself into the therapy sessions - often working just as hard as my son. Cutting corners is not in her vocabulary and Joshua benefited from her diligence. Tracy co-treated with Eva, and I was equally impressed with the way they worked together to challenge my son and make it fun. Between them, they were able to find the right equipment and activities to motivate and help my son gain strength and balance. Every minute was spent walking, standing or stretching and I can honestly say not a minute was wasted.

I would also like to compliment the entire staff for the respect and professionalism exhibited throughout the office. The office was abuzz with activity and other children receiving therapy, but it ran like clockwork and everyone worked very well together.

We would like to thank North Oakland Medical Centers for this well thought out program and for providing a comfortable and up-to-date treatment facility. The hospital was clean and parking was easy. Equipment was plentiful, diverse and in good condition. Support personnel were helpful and friendly and everyone seemed to genuinely want to help. In addition, the cafeteria provided wonderful cookies each day that my other children looked forward to enjoying during their brother's treatment sessions.

Euro-Pēds is a wonderful program and I will certainly recommend this clinic to all my friends with special needs children."
Sincerely, Mary Williams, Mother to Joshua, of Camp Lejeune, NC

What Rachel lost in the past 4 years has been gained in three weeks at Euro-Pēds!
